Editorial Policy

How we research, write, and keep our lawn care guides accurate over time.

Our Research Standards

Every guide should be built from primary sources before publishing, including:

  • University extension programs (e.g. Penn State, UC Davis, Texas A&M AgriLife) for grass-species and regional guidance
  • EPA registration data for any pesticide, herbicide, or fungicide product recommended
  • Peer-reviewed turfgrass science literature for disease and pest identification

Content Review Policy

  • Annual review cycle for every published guide
  • Event-driven updates when EPA registration status or extension guidance changes
  • A visible "last updated" date on every article
